The rock songs and the rock celebrities
And the mansions and the mysteries.
The poet has these, and the poet has you,
Because you see a book, and you don’t know what to do.
But the poet knows.
The poet has a sharp nose
For books and things,
Publishing rights, criticisms, and rings.
The poet is trying the lock
But the key doesn’t fit.
There is an awkward silence.
