The tenderest heart
Loves the tenderest plant!
Her heart feels grief
If harm should come to the smallest leaf.
She is sensitive—beyond belief.
Isn’t this what you want she should want?
To feel and want
What has no want?
The tender plant survives in the dirt.
She stays in bed—to not get hurt.
No matter how the poet implores,
She brings the tender plant indoors.
She waters the plant every day.
