By now, you realize the world is ruled by the world
and there isn’t anything beyond the world.
The world doesn’t allow itself to be known.
Your attempt to know the world is an experience
which has nothing to do with knowing.
Good experiences are substitutes for knowing
and as close as you get to knowing,
though, in reality, you never get close to knowing.
There is no knowing. The knowing know this.
The more pleasant your life, the less ignorant you are.
Pleasant experiences are the same as learning.
The unpleasant means you are not learning.
Memorization is pleasant, but isn’t knowing.
Memorization is just a pleasant experience
for those in a pleasant enough state to memorize.
Learning is another word for pleasure.
The curious AI posts which randomly appear on the internet
are apparently from a real person—
who has lived in Hong Kong and likes small dogs, swimming, and golf.
The landscape photo of her slim figure on the mountainous golf course
inspired this poem at last.
The rain can be heard faintly in your warm house,
large and clean, with excitable but obedient dogs,
family members who don’t discuss politics,
who like bric-a-brac and nature,
and appreciate what society gives them.
If you only knew how pleasant the world is,
you would see into the heart of this poem.
You would learn from this poem.
You would learn.
