My life has been simply this: a series of disappointments
in which friends and family members have let me down
and this seems to be the experience of everyone.
The labor of strangers has made us rich. We go where we want.
Therefore we have no friends.
The wealthy government and its supporting institutions
is the family. Therefore we have no family.
Our children are twinkling jewels reflected in screens.
We seek monied revelry which spins us into estrangement
and we worship and talk about strangers
so uniquely talented that they, too, have no family or friends.
Time to move on. This is where the prize winning film
and its prize winning soundtrack ends.
